Meet The Conut Crew: Claire Myers
Hello Folks, I’m Claire Myers…
I started working at Scream ’N Conuts on July 4th 2019. Yes, you read that correctly… my first day of work was one of the busiest days in Conut history. I didn’t know Emilee or many of the other employees when I started, however, Two Rivers isn’t a big town so everyone knows everyone. I walked into work scared seeing a HUGE line looped inside the entire building and even people waiting outside the door! There were 3 people scooping ice cream and 5+ people rolling conuts. That’s a lot of people working in a little building. I didn’t even have a Scream ’N Conuts’ t-shirt yet. I walk into the back nervous and the first thing the boss says in full panic mode is, “Go clean the bathroom!”
I did as I was told and went to clean the bathroom. I shut the door and started to clean. Then an older man walked in on me and we both screamed and I quickly ran to the back office frightened. I couldn’t even imagine what he was thinking. So the guy who I scared in the bathroom, I just want to say sorry and I hope the bathroom was clean to your standards.
Today, I manage the second location in Suamico, WI. I’m so grateful for my boss and now dear friend Emilee. I was about to attend college but, Emilee gave me such a significant role as manager for her business, I couldn’t pass it up. She saw what I was capable of over the last 3 years. I went from cleaning the bathroom, scooping ice cream, and rolling conuts to managing the newest Scream ’N Conuts location. This will be the second year Suamico will be open and our first full season! I’m very thrilled for what this season has to bring!
Less talk about work, more about me! I grew up in Two Rivers like most of my family. I have a very loving and supportive support system containing my mom, Jody, my pops, David (aka diddle), my big brother, Dalten, my boyfriend, Trevor, and my pets: Kia (lhasa apso), bunners (rex bunny), and copper (dwarf hamster). I can’t forget about my devoted friends either. You know who you are! They raised me to become the hard worker I am today.
Let’s get into some facts about me!! I was born November 23, 2001, that makes me a sagittarius! I like to think of myself as one of a kind with a foolish personality. I love trying new things outside of my comfort zone. I got into all types of hunting and fishing, thanks to my adventurous boyfriend, Trevor. Last winter I got a 41 inch northern (gator)!! Don’t worry it’s at the taxidermist! I have a big sweet tooth, maybe that’s why Scream ‘N Conuts is the perfect job for me!! I love all colors but, the color pink is on the top of my list. This might get people a little upset but, the book is always better than the movie. Lastly, if I could eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be Italian food, I really enjoy pasta and pizza!
Now… the moment everyone was waiting for is my favorite menu item, an apple pie conut with a caramel lining and whipped cream on top! The warmed up cinnamon apple pie filling and the salty caramel sauce with the vanilla ice cream in a donut cone is to die for. It’s exactly like eating an apple pie! Watch me make it here!
