Meet The Conut Crew: Emilee Rysticken
Hey! I’m Emilee Rysticken…
I’m a young entrepreneur and the Owner and Founder of Scream ‘N Conuts. I am 20 years old and have been operating Scream ‘N Conuts since I was 17, opening it just days after my graduation from Two Rivers High School. I was born and raised in little old TR, just like both of my parents. Because of that, I have a very strong love for my hometown and its community. It truly is a little gem along the Lakeshore with tons of outdoor activities and kind and welcoming people.
I have always been a very impulsive and strong person, knowing what I want, when I want it and working my a** off to achieve it! In Spring of 2018 I signed up for a semester of welding at L.T.C. The first semester of my senior year I would take college courses in order to pursue welding as a career right out of high school. Just a month before the classes began I randomly decided one day that I wanted to open an ice cream shop with these unique donut cones that I had discovered on a trip to Europe years prior.
I knew a realtor that was willing to show me some properties, so the day after I had my idea, we went to look at one. The first property we toured was a dump but it had loads of potential and a great location. When I mean dump I mean the windows, door, floors, parking lot and roof all had to be replaced. Because I’ve always had a gift for looking at old run down buildings and imagining in detail what it truly could become, I saw this place and was immediately sold. No need to tour any other place. I consulted with my investors (mom and dad) and my handy men (dad and grandpa) and after a LOT of convincing I put an offer in on the building in August of 2018.
Throughout the years I established a name for myself. The business thrived and people drove from all across Wisconsin to visit because of the National news coverage we had received. The Lieutenant Governor came to my ribbon cutting, I won “Wisconsin’s Best New Business” for 2019 and I was just recently awarded the “Women of Influence” award as an Entrepreneur in North East Wisconsin. The way Scream ‘N Conuts has grown and become a part of countless children’s memories and families annual traditions gives me chills. This was something Two Rivers needed and at the beginning of it all that’s exactly why I did it.

I have since continued my entrepreneurship by opening a second location in Suamico, Wisconsin and most recently working on my long-time passion project, opening a coffee shop, “The High Lift”.
To wrap things up I want to leave you all with something very useful, my favorite menu item at Scream ‘N Conuts! If I could order ONE thing it would be a Smore’s Conut with caramel or chocolate lining and Cookie Monster ice cream. It is to die for. Watch me make it here!
